Tuning the Zentapper’s many strings takes a while! If it helps anyone else, I’ve published the tone frequencies in Hertz on tappistry.org. After this first tuning the strings will be forever close so next tuning will be easier. It’s only the first fresh-out-of-the-box tuning that’s difficult (because it’s not obvious which octave you’re supposed to be on. )
The Zentapper uses non standard tunings so the stomp box/ effects pedal can’t tune it, using an Android app instead (displays frequency.) The app is poor and prone to being fooled by local louder noises such as birdsong.
I wish I had a cheap clip-on, frequency meter.
